When Hoosiers get thirsty, AALCO Distributing Company responds

In the 1940's Gunnar Elliott was the proprietor of Gunnar's Tavern, officiating college basketball and football games, broadcasting sports for WOWO radio as well as selling sporting goods through his Main Auto retail store.  In 1949,  Gunnar opened a wholesale liquor and beer business, AALCO Distributing Company - All American Liquor Company.  AALCO is one of the area's leading wholesale beer distributors today.

In 1972 our founder Gunnar Elliott passed away and control of the business passed to his daughter, Nan Dahm Collias.  Nan was AALCO's second generation.   Nan, a mother to four children and business owner in a predominately male industry paved the way for our companies future.  Greg Dahm, Nan's youngest child and only son joined the business after college in 1982. Greg then convinced his oldest sister Deb Niezer to come work along side him in 1995, making Deb and Greg the third generation of AALCO.   The fourth generation is now at AALCO, Katie Anderson (Deb's daughter), Jack Dahm and Will Dahm (Greg's sons).  AALCO is proud to call themselves a family owned and operated company.

AALCO, the oldest distributor in the area and one of 24 in the state distributes to 10 counties in the northeast corner of Indiana. See our Distribution Area.  AALCO operates on the principle of customer service, and knows building relationships is a foundation of this industry.   We strive to be a leader in the industry and consistently improve upon market share.  AALCO credits its success to its relationship with Anheuser Busch InBev other brewery partners, as well as their hardworking and loyal employees.
